What’s the day’s itinerary?

The adventure starts at 09:00 AM from Balestrand harbor.

• Morning (09:00 AM):

   We begin with our renowned “Sognefjord Fishing Thrill – Family Bonding” program, respecting the fjord and learning local angling methods.

• Lunch:

   Enjoy an optional (extra charge, not included in my program) gourmet lunch at the historic Kviknes Hotel, read the menu here

• Afternoon (2:00 PM):

   We board our sturdy vessel, “Miss Fjords,” and set a course for the idyllic island of Kvamsøy.

• Evening:

   We return across the fjord, arriving back in Balestrand around 6:00 PM. Enjoy an optional (extra charge, not included in my program) gourmet buffe’ at the historic Kviknes Hotel, explore the Culinary food and wine experiences here

We visit three key locations that guarantee an exclusive experience: Time Travel to Kvamsøy Church: Explore the charming medieval stone church from the 1200s—one of the region’s smallest and oldest, a true hidden gem.

Deep Water & Local Lore: We cross an area that plunges 4,000 feet (1,200 meters) straight down. Captain Tor shares tales of Synnøve Finden (Norway’s original cheese entrepreneur!) and the powerful geological forces that once created mountains higher than the Himalayas.

Magical Finnabotn: We glide through the exciting tidal current into the stunning Finnabotn. This is silence and “hyper-nature” at its most intense, perfect for mindful trolling for trout, mackerel, and pollock.
